This is my second Loggerhead Hoodie from Howler. I use it primarily when fishing or anytime that I want a breathable longsleeve layer with UV protection and a hood. The design is simple and functional, and it stays cool in humid Southern summers. The few bells and whistles that go beyond the basic hoodie form are useful additions. I like thumb holes on the sleeves of these kinds of shirts because I am frequently using them as a layer and having the thumb holes keeps the sleeves in place when adding or shedding layers. Both the kangaroo and stash pockets get used a lot when I wear this shirt. The orientation of the zipped stash pocket is really brilliant and is the perfect out-of-the-way-but-still-nearby place to store things like floatant, extra leaders, etc.
